Assessing the effects of low-input RNA-seq

Phil Ewels from NGI presents a summary of a low-input and low RIN-value study performed by NGI Stockholm in order to investigate the effects of lower input amounts and RIN-values for RNA-seq analysis of mRNA transcripts. This study did not find significant differences between 200 ng and 1000 ng, but did find significant differences for 50 ng input as well as low RIN-values.

This was part of a sample QC and extraction seminar held at Science for Life Laboratory Stockholm, 2014-11-25. Together with Illumina.
