Join our team of bioinformatics scientists responsible for developing computational methods and infrastructure to support biomarker discovery. This role will be responsible for analysis of next-generation sequence datasets to identify variants and associated biological pathways. In addition, this role will also be responsible for developing automated sequence analysis pipelines for genome assembly and processing of WES and RNA-Seq datasets.
Essential Responsibilities An overall responsibility for this role is to go well-beyond primary sequence analysis to discover biomarker signatures indicative of underlying disease mechanisms.
Essential Responsibilities:
.Implement automated pipelines for processing NGS datasets which include WGS, WES and RNA-Seq
.Perform variant analysis and provide pathway-level summary and clinical significance
.Develop or extend algorithms for extracting driver mutations to discover novel or alternate pathways
.Work with external collaborators to provide data analysis support
.Encapsulate automated analysis pipelines into well-defined software services
.Implement software and hardware infrastructure for NGS data processing
* Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) in a biological life science

* At least 4 years of experience in hands-on NGS data analysis in academic or industrial setting

* Demonstrated abilities in delivering on goal-driven and time-bound projects

* Track record of working in collaborative teams

* Must be prolific in computer programming languages such as Java or C++ and scripting languages like Python or Perl.

* Must have experience with relational database systems

Desired Characteristics
* Experience in hands-on biomarker discovery and pathway analysis, preferably in oncology
