Regional Sales Specialist

Position

We are seeking a dedicated Regional Sales Specialist to work with customers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH). The candidate will be part of the Marketing and Sales team based at the company headquarters in Vienna, Austria, and can be home-based in any EU country, or at the headquarters itself.
This position is available with immediate effect.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer sales processes for products, accounts, and sales opportunities in DACH territory via phone, e-mail, and visits.
  • Manage negotiations with top opportunities to define market segment and clear prospective deal size.
  • Identify, establish, and follow-up communications with qualified leads and current customers.
  • Guide customers to products that best meet their needs, coordinate with global team to address customer questions/concerns, create and submit individualized quotes, and close sales and opportunities.
  • Actively contribute to sales team goals, to meet sales targets, provide forecasting, develop opportunities, and record customer information in the CRM database.
  • Work collaboratively with the global sales team including Technical Sales Specialists and Customer Support.
  • Establish and maintain strong, positive, and productive relationships with clients including product end-users, management, and purchasing contacts.
  • Develop strategies and partnerships to enhance and expand sales.
  • Provide regular weekly reports on key activities and cases to the manager.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree or higher in Life Sciences (preferably biochemistry or molecular/cell biology) or business is required. Knowledge of RNA biology is an asset.
  • Proven sales experiences with a technical product line. NGS sales experience is a strong asset.
  • Fluent (native or near native speaker) in spoken and written German is mandatory.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Good command of French is an asset.
  • Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding relationship building, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to identify customer needs.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.
  • High-energy and positive “can-do” approach when dealing with the internal team and customers.
  • Sales-driven, results-driven, and target-driven attitude.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Experience with CRM systems.

Remuneration will be according to experience and performance. (Disclaimer according to Austrian Law: Minimum base salary according to collective agreement for utilization group III is EUR 1830,92 per month for a full-time position.)

Senior Distributor (Sales) Manager

Position

We are seeking an outstanding experienced Senior Distributor (Sales) Manager to work with customers globally, and to lead Lexogen’s indirect (Distributor network-mediated) sales operations. The candidate will be part of the Marketing and Sales team based at the company headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling life science products, equipment and/or services. Experience with sales of genomics and/or transcriptomics kits and/or equipment to academic and pharmaceutical laboratories, as well as genomics service providers is preferred.

This position is available with immediate effect.

Responsibilities

  • Manage distributor sales processes for products, accounts, and sales opportunities via phone, e-mail and visits.
  • Manage negotiations with distributors and top opportunities through distributors, to define market segment and clear prospective deal size.
  • Identify, establish, and follow-up communications with qualified leads and current customers.
  • Support distributors in guiding customers to products that best meet their needs, and coordinate with the global team to address customer questions/concerns.
  • Actively contribute to sales team goals, to meet sales targets, provide forecasting, develop opportunities, and record customer information in the CRM database.
  • Work collaboratively with the global sales team including Technical Sales Specialists and Customer Support.
  • Establish and maintain strong, positive, and productive relationships with clients (distributors).
  • Develop strategies and partnerships to enhance and expand sales.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Provide regular weekly reports to management to communicate progress towards achieving the company’s tactical and strategic sales and growth goals.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of the Life Science market.
  • Previous experience and proven success in sales of Next Generation Sequencing products is desired, scientific degree, PhD and/or MBA degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of people management and business leadership.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
  • Outstanding relationship building, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong ability to convert leads into sales in a new sales region and identify customer needs.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.
  • High-energy and positive “can-do” approach when dealing with the internal team and customers.
  • Metrics and data driven approach.
  • Exceptional skills in managing multicultural teams.
  • Strong personal drive and motivation to reach new objectives while respecting company vision and values.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and successfully execute an annual sales plan to deliver sales growth to company expectations.
