Postdoctoral Position in Bioinformatics and RNA-seq Analysis

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the area of computational genomics and bioinformatics. Specifically, the research will be focused on the expression and regulation of genes (both coding and non-coding) involved in the development and function of human neurons and brains. The project will mainly involve the usage of iPSC technology and RNA-seq analysis to characterize transcriptomes in iPSC-derived neurons from either Schizophrenia patients or healthy control subjects. We seek a highly motivated individual with experience in bioinformatics and next-generation sequencing data analysis and with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant areas. An ideal candidate must have strong programming skills and statistical background. Knowledge of biological principles and brain disorders will be a strong plus. Although interest in wet-lab experiments is not a must, the successful candidate is expected to work closely with biological experimentalists.

The interested applicants should email a CV, a description of research interest, and the name and contact information of three references to
