The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) will soon complete the generation of data on DNA sequencing, RNA sequencing, mRNA and miRNA expression, DNA methylation, and DNA copy number from paired cancer/normal specimens from 10,000 cancer patients. The resulting data sets provide a unique atlas of the geography of human cancer. This session is dedicated to helping cancer scientists learn how to access and analyze the high-throughput data sets from TCGA.
