Amaryllis Nucleics, a Bay Area biotech company based in Oakland is using the most advanced chemistry for RNA sequencing sample prep to provide rapid and accurate strand-specific RNA sequencing, today launched a new Unique Dual Indexing (UDI) configuration of their flagship product, the YourSeq Duet RNAseq Library Kit.
With the original version of this kit, researchers can prepare their samples in only 4 hours for conventional full-transcript sequencing or 3′-Digital Gene Expression optimized for differential gene expression. This new offering allows researchers to use Unique Dual Indexing when sequencing their RNA-seq samples, thereby avoiding mis-assigned reads caused by index hopping associated with Illumina’s HiSeq X/3000/4000 and NovaSeq sequencers.
The UDI kits can also be configured by customers to produce up to 9,216 dual-index combinations for projects that would benefit from extremely deep multiplexing. With the expansion set of an additional 96 i7 adapters (available from the company on request), the number of possible combinations doubles to 18,432.
Together, these options allow researchers to take full advantage of the NovaSeq’s cost-effective high-yield output.
With this new product offering, the YourSeq Duet RNAseq Library Kits are now available for single-indexed, dual-indexed, and unique dual-indexed applications.
Unlike many other RNA-seq kits, Amaryllis Nucleics kits include all required reagents — enzymes, adapters, magnetic beads, etc. The new Unique Dual Indexing kits are available in three sizes (24, 48, and 96 reactions) at $25 per reaction. The single-indexing kits and dual-indexing kits (for multiplexing up to 384 samples) remain at $20 and $21 per reaction, respectively.
