Reporting to the Director of Platform Biology, the Research Associate of Platform Discovery will assume a key role responsible for implementing Cogen Therapeutics’ high throughput strategy and discovery platform which is poised to interrogate unprecedented diversities of protein interactions.The Research Associate will serve an essential role in being part of a world-class team and be responsible for contributing to the execution and evolution of the discovery team’s milestones. Responsibilities include, (1) day-to-day execution of the discovery platform working within a team of scientists focused on generating novel biological insights utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach including single-cell RNAsequencing, and (2) work closely with early Technology-development, Protein Engineering, and Molecular Biology to support the ongoing evolution of the platform.The Research Associate’s key scientific mission will be to execute the Cogen Therapeutics’ premiere cellular platform that serves as the functional core for empowering a robust therapeutic pipeline.
The successful non-PhD candidate should have at least two years of industry experience including molecular biology, single-cell RNAsequencing, and Next Generation Sequencing. The incumbent will be well organized and technically minded . Knowledge and experience in protein sciences and automation would be beneficial.
The Research Associate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and a successful track record of working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the following areas are highly desirable:
- Single-cell RNAseq
- Next generation sequencing (Short and long-read)
- DNA cloning and vector construction
- Polymerase Chain Reaction
- Robotic liquid handling
- Protein characterization (SDS-PAGE, Western blots, etc).
