Job Description:
The Division of Biomedical Statistics and Informatics(BSI) within the Department of Health Sciences Research (HSR) has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research fellow to work on analysis of throughput sequencing data or high-throughput proteomics data for some unique projects under the Center for Individualized Medicine (CIM). The candidate must have a doctoral degree in Bioinformatics or a related field. The preferred candidate will have experience in the analysis of high-throughput sequencing data or high-throughput proteomics data (data preprocessing, QC and interpretation). Expertise in data integration (DNA-Seq, RNA-Seq, Met-Seq, etc.) is a plus.

>A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. 800146; J2WRTP

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere. Please attach the following required documents at the time of application:

  1. Current curriculum vitae and bibliography
  2. Three letters of recommendation, signed, on letterhead, describing:
    • Relationship to the applicant.
    • Past work/academic performance.
    • Work qualities/personal conduct.
    • Overall assessment of potential for success in research environment.
  3. Doctoral degree certification, if applicable:
    • Original or notarized copy of diploma or final transcript issued by school (English translation required).

Other Qualifications:
The candidate must have a doctoral degree in Bioinformatics or related fields. The preferred candidate will have experience in the analysis of highthroughput Sequencing data or highthroughput proteomics data (data preprocessing, QC and interpretation). Expertise in data integration (DNA-seq, RNA-seq, Met-Seq…) is a plus.
