Dan is a computational biologist working in the highly dynamic field of neuro-genomics. His research and expertise areas include biological network analysis, statistical genetics and computational neurobiology. Technological advances in genomic data acquisition have been explosive in the last decade. These advances have the potential to greatly enhance our capacity to promote human health and offer unprecedented levels of biological insight. To fully exploit these new data types, it is imperative that our mathematical and computational approaches are constantly enhanced through new models and algorithms.
