Omics Research Symposium (August 21-22, 2021)
This Virtual Event will bring together students, researchers, faculty and industry to discuss recent advances in omics data and bioinformatics. Discussions will highlight challenges, opportunities and applications – such as clinical, pharma/biotech, research, and agriculture. The symposium will be accompanied by a poster session and competition awarding prizes and giving a stage to students, faculty and research teams to present their work and get expert feedback. By joining, students will broaden their horizons and get an opportunity to explore collaborative projects, internships, and careers. The symposium will also provide a forum to showcase the Omics Logic training programs, outcomes and new developments with educational and research resources.
Research fellows and academic collaborators will have the chance to present their projects and hear from others about bioinformatics in various domains. Our students and team from India, the US, Africa and other locations will showcase their research projects in application to cancer, neuroscience, infectious diseases, and biotechnology.
The symposium will cover the following key topics:
- Bioinformatics – Cutting Edge Research and Applications
- Undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. programs in Bioinformatics
- Recruiters, Industry Internships and Job Opportunities
- Effective Resources for Training and Education
- Prizes for the best school, college, and citizen research projects
- Career guidance
To address pressing challenges with training all life science students in data skills for the 21st century, we will bring together experts in life science research and education to discuss how hard and soft skills they acquire will benefit their future careers in academia and research.
