Postdoctoral Fellowship in Genetic Epidemiology of Lung DiseaseBrigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School
Post-doctoral fellowship available in the genetic epidemiology of lung disease. The position is in the Channing Division of Network Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA.
The fellow will be responsible for analysis of RNA sequencing, clinical, and biomarker data, along with integration with genotype, whole genome sequencing, microRNA, and imaging data within large studies of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), the third leading cause of death in the United States. Successful candidates should have a PhD in statistics, epidemiology, genetics, bioinformatics or a related field. Experience in genomic data analysis and knowledge of R/Bioconductor is required. Experience in respiratory disease is beneficial. The applicant should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will work directly with Dr. Craig Hersh and will be expected to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Salary is commensurate with experience. The position is available immediately.
