Plant & Animal Genome XXII – Industry Workshop
RNA-seq has proven to be an invaluable tool for researchers across multiple disciplines. While allowing novel understanding of expression, there are limitations to the technology’s controls, measures of confidence, and methods of candidate selection. The workshop will feature the recent advances coming out of Cofactor’s R&D group to make RNA-seq more robust, consistent, and provide researchers more confidence in their results. Three researchers will describe how RNA-seq has been successfully used for their research and then will be part of a roundtable discussion on RNA-seq applications, what has been accomplished in the field, and what remains to be tackled to reap the full benefits of the technologies.
