May 9-10 at the NYU Langone Medical Center, Dr. Kasthuri Kannan and Stepan Nersisyan will conduct a hands-on workshop dedicated to review of RNA-seq data as a rich source for classification using conventional machine learning tools. The workshop will cover basic processing, exploration and analysis of the raw NGS data for clinical classification. During this 2-day afternoon hands-on training, participants will work with a model dataset of breast cancer cell lines and learn how to explore, cluster, use feature selection and train classifiers.
